If there were no such thing as ICQ ...

Would you guys actually call people? Or just send emails?

And why the hell is ICQ so popular in this industry?

I have been on net for a long time before i hit this industry, never used ICQ ... usually AIM or msn ...

    Here's how it breaks down

aim: designers, gamers, lonely white chix with no ride

icq: programmers, veteran net users, adult webmasters

msn: college kids, high school kids, general teenage use

I agree. Out of all the chat programs you can use ICQ is by far the shitties. That is the only messenger that drops IM's, and it's a memory hog from hell.

has to be. Besides using the IRC it was the only way to message somebody back in the day. And before that you had to dialup to the BBS one at a time! heh

Please don't insult designers by putting them in the AIM users category.

I hate all the chat programs. I'd rather do everything by email if I could.

I use 'em all. If I can't get one that everyone uses, I use the setup that gives me all the networks. http://www.indigofield.com
