Just to clear up things:
We didn't invite the cops inside...one cop came to "check out the property for a stolen atv that was seen in our back yard". One cop checked our back yard, then started asking for everyone's ID....went downhill from there...6 cop cars, and a few mean ones pushing their power.
We didn't even get a ticket because at the time we were'nt shooting and no business was being operating.
I wasn't arrested, fined or cited.

Brad, I moved from a 5000 foot warehouse because a house is better for our customers needs. A house with 3 acres of private back yard works for our many customers that do well with outdoor content. This isn't the first or last time I'll get a little heat for what I do.
Unfortunately, everything we do, everywhere we do it, is marginal with local law enforcement codes. Your fuck a billionaire site...do your producers buy permits for every outdoor location they shoot at as required by law...of course not...you go with the flow and get what you need and weigh the risks.

all I can say is we produce for companies doing far better than you are...they are happy with our work because the sites convert and retain.

Anyway, I'll probably move 1-2 times a year for the rest of my life...reason: produce great quality content, provide constantly changing and unique locations for our customers. After 5 years of producing for the big boys in the biz...this is part of my biz.

When you go into zoning or running a business from your home, then its a lil different. Yet I guarentee you that a large percentage of the residents around you do it as well.
From bringing some work home from the office, to making deals on the phone, to catering. I promise you they are in the same violation. Will they kick them all out as well?
Adult Zoning goes into having customers coming and going, and traffic. It was set up because it can cause blight in an area or be a haven for unwanted individuals lurking arounds (i.e. higher crime rates) None of which you are even doing.

Did I ever say shooting outside was wrong? No. Many shoot outside. You want to attack Dave, take your best shot, there is probably not a more honest, concerned, ethical person in this business than Dave Cummings. Shooting outdoors in a controlled situation is a FAR CRY from operating a hardcore studio on a regular, daily basis in a residential neighborhood. The two are nothing alike. I can guarantee you that when Dave shoots outdoors it is a controlled situation.
You said that you interview and hire models daily. Do these models come to your studio or are these phone internviews? You and I both know that the women/men that do this work are not always the highest caliber of people. Do you think that just maybe the people living in these homes, raising their families in these homes have a right to do this without having to be exposed to this? Of course they do. Do you think that the woman mentioned in the article has a right to raise her children, letting them play in their neighborhood, without having to worry about what her children may stumble upon while playing in their neighborhood? Of course she does.
I have no problem with what you do. I have no problem with how you do it. My problem is WHERE you do it.
