Hmm I hope you have windows... I recently started smoking some cigs again -- I've been a lot more productive, more social and relaxed, and my erections are like steel girders. You might want to question your level of fitness. Personally I created my own series of lung exercises which I really enjoy.

the truth is that I feel tired all the time.I am gonna quit smoking and start some working out again but you know - busy all the time so I can't find a minute to visit gym.

Damn, 50,000 cigarettes. Well I heard that for each year of smoking it taks 10 years to clean out your lungs. So if you stop smoking now you could have free clean lungs.

Sorry but I fail to see how smoking can make more social? Does your friends smoke? If so then sure you may be fitting in with their lifestyles but not more social. If they do not smoke then it makes you less social coz you are not thinking about them therefore being anti - social....

No offence meant but I just fail to se how smoking can make someone social.

I don't and have never smoked and even if all my friends started I would not start just to fit in..... Its disgusting and should be banned from public places!

Well i smoke about 50 ciggaretes daily so in past 2 years it is about 35000 so i am not so behind you guys

It's just a personal observation I have made -- I really doubt that nicotine effects everyone the same.

I don't smoke with friends -- and I don't smoke in a group. I spend a lot of time wandering around my town... that's usually when people will strike up conversations with me.

I can try to explain it -- it's not necessarily how you act, but the vibe you get with people. My guess is that people that smoke probably feel comfortable around other smokers even if they aren't smoking... I've found that when I smoke more people feel comfortable approaching me or initiating a conversation -- I really do not notice any difference in my behavior, but you should know a signigicant portion of face-to-face communication is unconscious.

You can think what you want, that's fine with me... Maybe if you are worried about your your lungs getting dirty but want to experience the interesting effects of nicotine -- try a cigar. It definitely affects concentration, creativity, blood pressure, etc. You can't deny that your brain is full of all kinds of complex chemicals that our greatest scientists have no clue about... I think most people take smoking for granted -- and their bodies too... That's pretty sad. Every time I smoke a cig I try to smoke it differently -- exactly how I draw.

Take a long slow cool buff or a quick hot puff, or do a gradual increase or a gradual decrease -- slosh the smoke around my tongue, or in the back of my mouth, or out my mouth and through my nose... inhale a portion of the smoke or all of the smoke -- inhale it in a clump of smoke or a slow stream of smoke -- vary the speed of the inhale -- inhale into the side of your lungs, the bottom of your stomach, into your chest by your heart -- vary the pressure in your lungs -- vary the duration, vary the exhale and number of ways -- vary how the smoke leaves your mouth -- lips pursed or mouth open -- through your nose, and on and on an on -- you see smoking is an artform just like anything... you become aware of your breath. Honestly I was initially attracted to smoking because I loved to watch artists smoke...

Most people don't think about smoking -- they just smoke... Most people don't think -- that's not my problem

After 50k cigs, you could probably write "I am an idiot" on the walls in yellow soot and tar.

It's funny I remember when I started smoking in my senior year of college... one of my friends at the time said "come here I'm going to teach you how to smoke" -- then he goes on to tell me how the french smoke, how the germans smoke, and on and on -- for like 15 minutes I had to listen to this crap on smoke technique -- how to hold the sig, etc... It's funny how some smokers really get into it.

I think thats true and therefore the problem with smokers not wanting to quit. They aren't thinking about it, it comes naturally.

I mean say you are sitting at the computer, you have a problem and can't think how to solve it. Light up a cigarette and it would most likely help you think...... I dunno I haven't tried it but I heard it does help.... So therefore whilst smoking you are thinking about your problem not smoking....

What you said makes sense. About the whole social part of your first post, but for me if I am sitting in a restauraunt with my girlfriend having dinner and someone starts smoking next to me while I am eating I find that very ignorant. Which is why I think it should be banned in public places.

Fly do you feel that smoking makes you feel much more relaxed? I mean if you are sitting on a bench and someone asks you for a light and you give them your lighter and you start talking do you feel comfortable? What if you didn't smoke. Someone comes up to you and asks the time? Then you start talking do you feel less comfortable? I'm not judging, just trying to understand!

I don't think I am idiot just because I smoke.I smoke and it simply means............nothing.
I was hard sports man untill my 26.I have started to smoke about 2 years ago and smoke cigarillos only.I hate cigarets.
I am sure I will quit some day but now I have no seriouse reason t quit.I am gonna do sport again and its clear that you can't do any kind of sport being hard smoker.That will be my reason to stop
