Yeah, I know you shouldn't get punished twice for one crime - great point. But I'm not going to cry any tears for someone who didn't learn his lesson the first time. Sentances should be stiffer for criminals with high risk of recidivism (or however you spell that word). Sex offenders don't just stop.
Anyway, I think the point of his past criminal activity being taken into consideration doesn't mean that he is getting punished twice -- just shows that common sense was being used with the spit thing -- if I spit on a cop I hope I'd get away with it since I'm not in the habit of doing violent things -- this guy is obviously a menace though.Comment
