Got this email just now from Paycom, I thought chargeback ratios always had to be under 1%.....
A Message From Chris Mallick
EPOCH / Paycom was informed this morning by our bank regarding revised
chargeback ratios and rules changes from Visa due to take affect later this
year. These changes will affect all IPSP's and those entities which have their
own merchant account.
The new ratios are as follows:
Effective October 1, 2003
"Overall" Chargeback to Sales Ratio will be 1%; reduced from 2.5%
Effective January 1, 2004
"Foreign" Chargeback to Foreign Sales Ratio will be 2%; reduced from 2.5%
I am sure that you will have questions, which we will try to answer ASAP.
However, we have not had time to fully evaluate the new rules so our answers
may not be as comprehensive as we would like. Clay Andrews and I are
available tomorrow to answer your questions, by phone, or by email as we
receive them.
We wanted to make you aware of the new ratios as soon as possible. We are
assessing them and will discuss options with you over the next several days.
