Jet Skis.... Out fucking standing. BryanY and rented a few and took 'em out for the day. The very next day I started looking into buying a pair - Until I did the math. It cost us $250 to rent them for the day, which included the trailer. I don't have much free time on the weekends to get and ride them..... If I do it four times a year it costs me $1000, and I don't have to worry about storing them or fixing them, or insurance.
The new ones they have are nice - Lots of storage in them. Soon they'll be making them with CD players.Herschel Savage

The Kawasaki is probably a good buy, seeing how they invented the JetSki. The only Kawi I've ridded was this screwey one they made a few years back where the riders sat side by side. Was definitely a different ride.Comment

I turned too sharp once and got thrown off the jetski, the autoshut off was attached to my wrist so the jetski shut down no problem. The problem was when i was being thrown off, my Knee went into the handle bar and fucked up my leg nicely. I ended up going deep into the water, just as my luck has it, I was wearing my lifejacket and was rocketed to the top, unfortunately the jetski was above my head and I cracked it pretty hard... Sitting in the middle of a lake with an almost busted leg and blood all over your head isnt too much fun. Although I've been many times since.
I've heard of one guy who took a wave to quickly and instead of letting go of the handle bars, he fell backwards and the jetski front end hit him right in the face, knocking himself out and all his front teeth.Comment

I had a new 1000ZXi three years ago, never had a problem with it, but Kawasaki did have a recall on it for a potential fuel vapor issue, they fixed it for free but it was in the shop 4 days. Other than that it was trouble free.
Be sure if you fall off and it goes upside down, that you roll it back over to the right side only, because this way lets the water drain out of the air filter. If you roll it to the left, and water enters your engine and you break a rod or bend the crankshaft, Kawasaki wont cover the damage.Comment

I never rode one of them but I was on an 1100cc Yamaha wave raider not long ago and that fuckin thing had some giddy up and go. Did 60mph no problem and the acceleration was explosive.Comment
