Umm no. You don't have to prove you own something that is in public domain. It would be on the person who claims ownership to prove they own that pic since it's taken in a public area and has no watermark on it.

Either way I hope he fucks them up for using his personal pics to promote a sponsor.

a) it is produced by the government or
b) the owner of the copyright has abandoned the copyright to the image/work of art, which almost never happens.. Would you like me to start quoting statutes? Which country? I am fully versed in canadian and american copyright law, as well as international copyright law, as I am an internationally published photographer and it's part of my job to protect my ass.

Heh no this is not neccessarily the case.. And besides, he has originals, therefore he CAN prove it's his picture.
