Here is the thing......of all the sponsors in our biz.. WEG is certainly top 5%. They don't fuck people. Well, let me clarify that. They HAVE NOT fucked people in the past, but since the Supreme Court ruled today that sodomy is now legal, you might want to stay behind Gabe if you know what I mean.
Bottom line is this..you can argue about the TOS all day long. Some of you will say he violated it, some will say he didn't. What is VERY clear is that he DID violate the spirit of the agreement. He understands how both sides make money and he intentionally exploited that knowledge. I have been in front of enough judges to know that 10 times out of 10, the SPIRIT of a contract carries far more weight than the WORDS of a contract.

I actually want to be on the side of the sponsors. I want to believe that they (sponsors in general) are as pure as the driven snow. I just can't anymore. I suppose I've tried about as many sponsors as the next guy (hundreds perhaps) and I'm down to two or three and all they get is leftover traffic from ancient sites. I guess I just got pissed off one time too many and that combined with the success of doing my own stuff has left me somewhat jaded. This might sound stupid but when I saw the ratios I was getting at my own stuff compared to what I was getting at sponsors, I really felt betrayed. Bullshit. First off I dont believe you were getting 1/15 on a regular paysite, but I'm not going to debate that.
There is a percentage of cheaters in the world. By definition, a percentage means that the same percentage of people that are sponsors, resellers and surfers are all cheaters.
However, the volume numbers change since there are infinitely more resllers than sponsors and that many more surfers than resellers.
Thus its a pyramid, and the % remains the same across the board.
So unless you are willing to say that 99% of resellers AND 99% of surfers are cheaters, you are WAY off in your numbers.
It just amazes me how these suppositions come to be known as some sort of fact, by anyone, when if you looked at simple economics and some statistical analysis you would see that there is not one possible way your figures are correct.Comment

So called friendly fraud is the way that surfers cheat. Has nothing to do with payouts and signups, it has to do with how many times they can rip off the site owners or the copywrite holders...
