for 4 rooms of satililite.
Get ta a Multi spot beam dish.
They can handle up to 4 rooms in the house.
Also, try and get the P3 cards (football player on it).
P4 is hackable. But all still mostly underground and not much is known about them. Plus, fixes for them are running about $500 per fix on some sites that claim they can do them. Then again. Direct TV currently owns or has control of about 200+ DTV hacking sites out there.
Plus, DTV is has came out with a new P5 card where the chip is centered completely and requires a new IRD.
I'm not sure if some of us will need new programmers. But DTV is working on ways to slow us down from hacking.
New cards with the centered chip will probably require new programmers and until they figure out how to biuld and hack that new card. Best thing to do is buy ya 4 recievers off like Ebay or get ahold of a few people in here that hack, like myself and get cards from us.
I've done some cards for people on here.
Labret has used my programs and has a couple of my bins.

didn't read through the whole thread but here is my opinion
I had cable for years and I've now had satellite for about 4 years (live in the boonies no cable here)
At first the satellite was fine only went out when it rained real hard. Now there's something wrong somewhere and we either have to cut a tree that grew too big or replace all the cables or both. Our two bedrooms tvs don't work when it's wet out and they all stop working when it rains. It rained on and off here for about 5 hours the other day and we had NO tv or internet access.
Of course if it's a tree problem, it could very well be something that is far away, on someone's elses property or worse a tree that isn't even accessible to cut because of it's location and/or height.
So if cable came to town, I'd be switching FAST!
With Satellite you have to pay for local channels and dammit we can't even get UPN around here, not sure if it's like this in other areas where only certain channels are accessible but cable offers much more for much less.Comment

Just a question for all those that are getting there satalite free, I bought two ATR cards and got one programmed but then the site sattech.net went down and now can't program my other card anybody know what to do? I have Bell Express Vu and was using jeepers to program the cards

I ordered from Satanplayhouse a year ago (where I got my unlooper/loader), and like a dink I signed up for the bin support.
Never heard anything from DTV and they sent letters to a whole lot of people.
I just ordered the No745 wafer that everyone is raving about. Waaaay stoked to get it. Dave been hashing like a maniac lately.
Finally figured out how to get my own acts written, they work niiiiice. Fucking tier drops irritate me though.

actually i far as i know they don't have an internal PVR with digital cable,
I had a stand alone TIVO and it was a pain in the ass. To change channels it had to go thru the TIVO first and it then pass the signal to the cable box,, it was slow (sometimes 4 seconds to change) and pain in the ass. at times channels wouldn't change and my shows would of been recorded on the wrong channgel
Then i saw the Direct TV tivo, it was super fast, plus the dual tuner kicked ass. You could record two shows at the same time and watch a recorded show.
with season pass i haven't missed a favorite show in the last 2 years. Till this day i never watched a TV show live. i love my 30 second skip button,, lolComment
