no, but I didn't deposit it.. what I did was had them check it while I was there because I did some checking on this before I went to the bank. The place I found out about the scam was the site I was trying to sell the speakers on, they had letters from other people who these people had contacted also asking them to do the same thing.
The thing that got me was .. the bank was willing to let me deposit the check.. if I hadn't said anything.. it would have been deposited and I could have sent a wire to these people before it cleared with no problem at all.. scary
