To date, I've never posted on this board, but I do read it.
Let me clear a few things up. I used to work for the Gallery People until March of this year. I've known those people for about 3 years. I was there when they had no business coming in and how I went weeks without getting paid for what work we were doing. BUT I did get paid and the business started to take off when they started doing gallery page design. They really had a good thing going. Everybody was happy and galleries were being built and delivered on time and it was a wonderful thing.
Then in March Joe got sick and it went to shit from there. I was one of the last ones to leave and that was to take a job in the mainstream world.
The gallery people are good people. They have had their share of bad luck recently. I spoke to a mutual friend a few days ago, only to find that Joe has lung disease and isn't doing well at all.
I remember when some of you ordered your designs from them, most notably MSG - how did they rip you off? you ordered galleries that I worked on and you got them. You paid a deposit for a tour and Joe delivered it to you. You loved it? Then you decided you didn;t like it. He offered to rebuild it for you? Then he waited over 2 months for instructions from you. I remember this very well....
The purose of my post is to just let people know that the GP are not the bad guys they're being made out to be here. Shit happens. I will try to get in touch with them and see what's upComment

But as far as the tour goes, I never liked nor approved the demo tour pages he created for me. He didn't offer to rebuild the tour from scratch, I requested it after being quite disapointed.
Then the two month delay you are speaking of was more me waiting for him to return an icq. Everyday was another story (I'll have something by tommorow) then he finally disappeared.
Joe seemed like good people, I hope his health improves. But as far as business goes he kept my money.

Joe actually did more for me than I could ask for. He redesigned galleries when I didn't like them, he referred webmasters, recommended content providers, sponsors. I spoke with him over the phone many times, chat on icq. He's NO crook, he's a very nice guy as the matter of fact. No matter how long it takes you'll get your stuff delivered. Unless you are thinking to run out of business sometime soon go ahead get someone else to work for you while he's still sick.Comment

Joe is working, but from what I understand, he is working a very limited schedule right now.
NO ONE is getting ripped off or anything like that. These are good people that are having some problems right now. I've offered to help out if they need it and if you need something in a hurry, I will honor orders you have pending with them - I designed for them for quite a while and the quality of my work is up to their standards. I cannot say enough great things about Joe & Racquel. They have gone above & beyond whenever I need work done.
I think that we sometimes forget that people have lives away from the net, and that those lives are encumbered with the trials & tribulations of everyday life. Joe's health has been bad for several months. I do know that he stopped taking orders a while ago and has brought in help to get caught up.
Cut the guy some slack, one day you might need a break too.Comment

The Gallery People tell you what you want to hear... I've talked with them numerous times... but talk is cheap... they ripped me off and I live like 5 miles from them...so...
look for future updates from me as I live in Vegas (so do they) and I'm in the process of taking them to small claims court ($35).
After the trial, the info will be of public record and I will surely post it here.
Good thing I only got fucked out of $240... but I'll end up getting it back plus court cost.
Always keep your replies from them to use as evidence.
Look for future post.... and DO NOT do business with TheGalleryPeople.com

Absolutely no results.
If you can't do the work, refund the money.
It doesn't take months and months and months to figure out that you are not going to be able to deliver.
From what I can gather there are dozens of people that have been ripped off.
I have requested the work to be delivered and I have requested a refund... Anyone that ignores their customers and keeps their money is a fucking ripoff....
