      Windows media player is still one of the best... you just have to make sure you have the right codecs installed for your AVI.

      The big problem with AVI's though, is that if it is broken(partially dowloaded) most of them will not play(unlike other formats).
      In that case, you usually have to re-encode the video to get it to play properly.

              Real Player would be good, if:

              1. It wasn't so buggy and slow
              2. It wasn't loaded with spyware and other junk
              3. It didn't fucking suck so much
