With the rising of the sea-level due to global warming, the Maldives might disappear. (the hightest point in male' is something like 8 ft above sea level. )
I hear they are thinking of moving all the people somewhere else and starting the country over in Indonesia.

we've been talking about this here lately... where do ya go on vacation when ya live on Maui? Well, we've decided either one of the other Hawaiian islands, or Tahiti, or the Maldives....
