    Does anyone's card work for VbV here? I tried several, all came up

    The "greatest anti-fraud tool" and no one supports it??

    (Yes, I realize that is not an SSL link, got it from Epoch and https: does not work on VISA, invalid cert no surprise, direct link from VISA's site has you put your card in non-SSL..?)

      actually I think Chris Mallick said VbV won't apply to high risk merchants.

          a lot of the big american banks support it.
          by the end of the year, all canadian banks will support it.

              According to Netbilling, they will support it for us. But one of the cards I used was Providian - which I believe is *huge*. If the biggest players don't support it, who will?

                  just because they don't support it now doesn't mean they won't support it in the near future.

                      Well...sure...but it's plastered on the front page of Epoch. OK we process several hundred trans a day, VISA. So I go with VbV to cut fraud, because I believe it's a good idea. Suddenly we're at 2-3 a day.

                      Remember SET? Couple years back, the up and coming solution for cc fraud online. Fizzled. I'm just curious if ANYONE has a card here that supports VbV. The fact that Providian doesn't strikes me as a bad sign...lots of these companies have proprietary solutions in place. Who's to say VbV isn't going to be another SET?

                          My personal opinion is that unless Visa requires issuing banks to suppport it and offer the cardholders some reason to use it, Verified by Visa will NEVER catch on.

                              Very true.

                              crescent, I know BoA supports it, and i'm sure they're a huge bank. my bank will support it as of this fall, whit pilot tests running this summer.
