Although the yogurt idea sounded fun, I am failing to see how that may help with the hickups. Heck, if all else fails, we'll give it a try though.
I held my breath through that last sentence, but they are still here......This is not very fun.

Yep, my mom taught me this method when I was a kid... the key is to drink the water really fast and keep on drinking it until you feel like the hickups are gone.Comment

Seriously - it's when your diaphragm (no not THAT one! - the one in your lungs) starts workign back to front:
ie: when you breath in your diaphragm is contracting and when you breath out it is expanding.
this is why you have the hiccups - your diaphragm is trying to JUMP START itself back into the correct rhythm.
Now with that in mind - all you need to do to stop is is corrcet your breathing.
SO:
Take a BIG breath in and really FILL your lungs and expand your diaphragm.
Now breath out and really push out all the air feel your diaphragm contract
Now repeat until they go - should take 3 min or less

Things are coming along pretty well. My site is pretty much done other than some fine tuning and Twisted is almost there too. Took awhile to configure the processing and some of the little things but we are going to try to launch next week

Actually, Hiccups are a muscle spasm. You can get rid of them quickly by putting a cold can of soda (or something cold) on the side of your throat.
My dad had hiccups for 3 weeks once. They finally gave him Xanax. That works too.Comment
