Seriously - it's when your diaphragm (no not THAT one! - the one in your lungs) starts workign back to front:
ie: when you breath in your diaphragm is contracting and when you breath out it is expanding.
this is why you have the hiccups - your diaphragm is trying to JUMP START itself back into the correct rhythm.
Now with that in mind - all you need to do to stop is is corrcet your breathing.
SO:
Take a BIG breath in and really FILL your lungs and expand your diaphragm.
Now breath out and really push out all the air feel your diaphragm contract
Now repeat until they go - should take 3 min or less
