    Laird Hamilton is the muther fucking MAN!!!

    just picked up one of his DVDs this weekend... To': Day of Days, about his history making ride in Tahiti....

    this guy is the fuckin' real deal.... no contests, no bullshit, no fake glory.... just the love of the art and taking it farther than any man ever has... and the best in the fucking world, hands down.

    looking forward to his other DVDs....

                                      beats me.... someone in San Diego might know....
                                      I haven't heard anything.... would hafta be some kinda storm system there or something... 100 miles out there isn't a reef shelf or anything to create a wave like that, so it'd have to be a hurricane or something.

                                          Actually there are waves out there -- and Mr Hamilton has been amongst them --

                                          There was recently something, and I can't remember if it was print or maybe Discovery channel, regarding the worlds top surfers, some of the things they've done, and some of the accidents they've suffered doing it --

                                                  awesome.... I hadn't heard of Cortes Bank.... I wish I would've seen Dateline last night now....

                                                  sounds like only the right storm swells make it happen though... same as Peahi here. Far as I know, Peahi (Jaws) is still the world's monster though... 80+ - 100+ ft faces with the right swell.

                                                  I'll definately hafta read up on this Cortes Bank though....
