Friendfiners are involved, as defendant, in a major spam lawsuit in California. Its gone up to appeals and I think back down to the trial court. California has a law that says you can sue in CA if CA equipment is used in the transmission of spam. Since a user in Calif. likely is hooking up to a router at his ISP which is in Calif. (whether that's a DSL, Cable modem, or dialup) you've got IP-level usage of equipment in Calif. to pick up your mail .
Picking up mail from a popserver in Calif. makes it stronger case.

with AFF I made: $365
with datinggold i made $29.95
really this is too short a trial period to read too much into, but I stopped the trial coz I didn't really have the patience I thought I had..
To me it still looks like AFF is the gold standard when it comes to dating sites..

I've set up links to them but it never made as much money as Amateur Pages for a similar ad spot -- the payout/click seems nice, but it seems like you have to wait forever for the fucking surfers to convert -- I mean you send a whole bunch of hits, your ratio goes to shit and now you're on the conversion only program -- then wait a months for those surfers to buy a membership, and another month to get the check... It's just a slow system that I can't really deal with -- The AFF stats interface is a complete pain in the ass -- you always have to change your password -- you need a different fucking password and you have to sign up again for every program they have so if you want to send to Asian Friend Finder you have to start all over again with them... I'd use AFF if they cleaned up the webmaster interface and if they did payouts faster... No matter what targeted ad that I use I always drop below the pay/click rate eventually... That should be more flexible, because you lose a lot of business... a webmaster sends a bunch of hits -- sees he went over ratio -- got no signups, and removes the ads -- little does he know that weeks later these fucking surfers pull out of the credit card and then once you do the math the $/click is actually not so bad, but by then it's too late... There's something to be said for the time factor... I'm one of those morons that lives month to month -- so I don't use programs like Deluxe Pass that take 2-3 months to send me a check -- that's just too much fucking time.
What I really want is for somebody to tell me that AFF does weekly payouts and that there's no way to drop out of the click program, even if the rate/click is totally crappy that's cool for me -- as long as I can get a semi-realtime picture of how much money I'm making -- instead of waiting for the fucking surfer to miss his free demo or whatever the reason is for that delay after initially sending traffic.Comment

With the way you have your linking set up with AFF you will not be able to see where the hits came from....in order to do this you would need to use a sub name for each linking code.
Tracking ids for each page of your website by adding .sub<page> to the end of your partner id (e.g., p58075.submainpage, p58075.subnewsletter, p58075.subbanner).
This would be the only way you could track individual hits and sign ups.
Plus, why in the hell would you put so many affilates codes to all your programs in your signature? GFY rules states only 3 lines...lol...I just got the rules pointed out to me this week for using a full size banner on AFF...If you are the CEO of AFF why dont you pay the $2500 bucks so all the AFF people on here can use the full size banner in their profiles.

On a serious note - I think AFF is great, I get a check every month no problems. But one thing I do not like at all (and maybe this is down to some cookies I've got, I don't know) is that if you go to the 'also check out' sites list on the right, the links all have affiliate codes - but they are not mine.
So if I send a surfer to my AFF page and he clicks on ,say, alt (which I also promote) it takes him to a different affiliate's alt site - presumably if he then signs up it gets credited to the 'other' affiliate? Or is there something in the system which would overwrite it and credit it to me?
Or is this just happening because of cookies I've got? I've just noticed that the friendfinder listing on that page has no affiliate code in it (although as I also promote friendfinder I think it should have!)
