Hi Guys,

I need to buy content - lots of content - one catch though. I'd need to be able to provide the affiliates who advertise me with some of the content to be used on their galleries (TGP etc.) I'm talking only advertising purposes and only my site!

I can't believe anyone can make any money on anything of any quality at 10,000 images for $198. Maybe if your cost was 0 because you stole it all???
I make content. I have a lot of images. In excess of 10,000 certainly. an EXTRA $198 to license it for TGP on top of the license fee for the set, hmm maybe. I already turned down $2500 for the whole library non-exclusive internet-only.

Even 10,000 images someone took of their girlfriend with a point and shoot camera is going to cost more than $198 just to deliver unless its all 320x200 JPEG to 60%!

It depends on how many times you sell it, these deals get sold 100 times. The people buying at these prices know it's not going to be exclusive and are willing to put up with that.

We have two sites, one with sets $5 to $15 and the other $30 to $50 you want less distributed got for the second site.

Of course there are the newbies who start a site with this cheap stuff who wonder why they are not making money and in two weeks retiring to the Bahamas.

SexyD, and providers. Many content companies seem to have the same content license nearly word for word. Almost like the all use the same lawyer. Ussually around subsection 2, or near the term Usage you will find a clause that allows you to give away or trade up to 15 % of the total number of images for promotion. With the stipulation that you do not use more than 15 % or so of any given set. Then there are the normal stipulations as well about copyright and such.

So as it currently stands with a good amount of providers, even though they will ask you to pay an additional fee when you ask for this in advance, the current shared license format out their with that little clause allows this already.

I do not suggest you do without paying the extra fee of course. I just saw this topic and figured I might as well say something about it now.

Providers, take a look at your licenses as well. This is just a heads up post.

The content providers I work with don't have that clause and won't allow any trade!
So I'm looking around....
