Anyways I just received the following email from DirectNIC.com:
Greetings,
Since the domains have expired, we will not be able to unlock them. You will need to renew the domains first then transfer them or wait until the domains are made available for registration in 75 days and re register them with another registrar.

Question to all you webmaster's (And please refrain from any personal accusations):
Does the above letter seem fair to you? I mean that I can't transfer the domains to a different registrar, because they expired yesterday, and I did not receive a reminder email?
