                The Hammer I think you're serious about this and I hope you sell the site but I'm curious why you posted on a Sunday when most serious business people are hopefully spending time with their families?
                Quite simply - I have had 7/8 years working on sites and this morning I woke up, did the usual sort of regular stats and security checks - Half way through, I just switched everything off and realised I had had enough -
                I would prefer to spend more time with my two kids - They are growing up and I don't know them.

                                            Absolutely - Playboy was first introduced into the English language by a uk writer back in 1923 - Playboy lawyers did contact me and I sent them all the original details etc.

                                            Heffner may well own a business that was already an English dictionary word before he went into business - He can not take legal action over it for two reasons:
                                            1) Fact - It can be argued he stole the word!
                                            2) I have created a unique word - Pantyplayboy.

                                            Playboy lawyers stood down at a recent hearing about name abuse - Wisely, in my opinion

                                                                    Seriously, these magazine that take a common word and try to trademark it are crazy. Like Penthouse, for example.

                                                                    Penthouse:
                                                                    1.
                                                                    1. An apartment or dwelling situated on the roof of a building.
                                                                    2. A residence, often with a terrace, on the top floor or floors of a building.
                                                                    3. A structure housing machinery on the roof of a building.
                                                                    2. A shed or sloping roof attached to the side of a building or wall.
                                                                    3. Sports. The sloping roof that rises from the inner wall to the outer wall surrounding three sides of the court in court tennis, off which the ball is served.

                                                                    Now, if they managed to trademark the name, it should basically just give them the rights to be the only adult magazine (or magazine at all) named Playboy or Penthouse. If tney want to be completely original and have a trademark, let 'em be creative and come up with a new word. Maybe they could contact the master or word creation, Snoop Dogg.

                                                                    I don't know how a case like this would be handled in court, but it seems to me that pantyplayboy.com would be protected because he is not using the word in the same context as Playboy magazine and he is not using the Playboy bunny head logo. THAT would be serious infringement.

Partnerships can be great but when they fail they usually do it in style, but then that's obvious from many of the GFY posts.

                                                                                                                                                                                        I know of one person that has the correct connections in the business and he is sometimes on the lookout for deals like you are offering.                                                                                                                                                                                         About the issue on bringing in partners. It can work perfect and it can be terrible. I've tried both.

                                                                                                                                                                                        My bad experience comes from partnering with people that have a very lazy attitude and IMO a priority sense that equals nill.

                                                                                                                                                                                        I once read a news piece about Gary Moore the musician - Him with 'Still got the blues'.

                                                                                                                                                                                        He had had a bass player - Glenn Hughes that he had fired. He explained the reason like this - "If I put a Mars bar and a bass guitar beside each other he would choose the Mars bar first..." This really says a lot about a person.
