Vitali would have fucking blead to death, he never would have made it, so maby Lennox had lost the first few rounds, but it was clear that he was going to win after that cut.

The cut was caused by punches from Lewis. There are many ways to win in boxing, and one of those ways is to bash up someone's face so bad that the dr. stops the fight. That's not just luck, it's strategy. I was sad that it ended early too, but Lewis did what he needed to do to win.Comment

correct me if i'm wrong, but if you hit a guy on the face with the glove at a certain angle, on the side, can't it cause a cut a lot easier opposed to a straight dead on punch?
i watched the whole boxing match and i did not see a single round where lewis was significantly more dominative...
of course klitch couldn't have gone on with his face like that, but hardly was it due to any dominance.
if cuts were to represent the overall dominance and fighter performance, then lewis's face would make klitch's look like a walk in the park.
i could tell klitch had a lot more endurance througout the fight, i remember at the end of one of the later rounds, lewis looked like he was gonna have a heart attack when he threw his hole body onto the chair.

If it was caused by a glove or by punches, it makes no fuckin difference. They were right to stop it. In fact, it was inevitable. White boxers bleed more and are cut more easily, and always look like they're trying too hard. Black guys make it look prettier, and cuts don't look as nasty as they do on pale white dudes.
Want a white heavyweight champ? Get the Italian mob to fix the fights like they did for Marciano. Otherwise just watch UFC or Pridefighting Championships. Lots of white guys are champs there.

They were willing to let the fight go on as long as it looked like Lennox was getting back into it, but then he started getting smacked around again at the end of the last round.
When he fell onto his stool instead of sitting on it, I knew they were going to stop the fight. This was truly a Don King production, and yes, Lennox was about to get KTFO. If they didn't stop the fight when the eye was bleeding, there was no reason to stop it after the cut was under control.Comment

On the other hand, I think the doc was completely right in stopping the fight. It would have been sad if Klitschko would have ended up like Frank Bruno (almost blind on the left side after Tyson and had to give up fighting). No matter if the cut was under control or he was winning on the score card. Lewis has some awesome punches, and he would have kept hammering the cut as long as he was standing, and that could have been ugly!Comment
