Windows Movie Maker, does anyone know

Whenever I import a movie into Windows Movie Maker, it gets cut into random length clips for no reason.

Is there any way to prevent this when using wmm?

Doesn't matter, the tool is useful for the job at hand.

when the clip is loading up, just press cancel. It wont stop it from loading fully, but it will stop the cutting.

I have the same problem, and those solutions dont work for me. I hit cancel and it still cuts them up.

                    where is "auto generate clips"?
