I think it got popular quick because of that Adsproul. I said a while back that I was going to do more webmaster posting than just fucking around posting and most responded that this board was for just that, fucking around and having fun as well as to get info. I think most people hit more than one board and this is where they come to let loose a little.
Having said that, I agree with you about some of the posts. I'm guilty of one topic in particular (the who fucks best one) that I admitted was gratuitous in the first line of the thread, but I had an ongoing argument with a friend, and it's not like I can walk to a neighbor and get their opinion
This was a good spot for such a question.
I, also, agree that some topics are blatant attempts at the longest thread, but lately I've noticed people are not so hip on those anymore and don't post to them as much.
There are many boards to get good info, this one included, but it's also nice to get to know your peers in a more informal fashion, don't you agree?
