The last punisher movie sucked balls. But now since its a comic book movie means they get a huge budget so they get a chance to do it right. But Punisher was th eultimate badass if this isn't rated R then its probably gonna suck also.

Then again who would make a decent punisher, most hollywood actors are way too pussy to do him any amount of justice.

I am not a comic book fan of any sort, but ive read enough Punisher books to know that he is one of the characters that has the most potential to be translated to the *big screen* and become a full-fledge violent and carnage-filled flick.

The Punisher is being played by Thomas Jane (Dreamcatcher, Deep Blue Sea, Boogie Nights)

John Travolta is playing the bad guy in the movie. Could be good but then again could be bad.

Anyone have any idea why Hollywood idiots think they know how to rewrite good characters? Case in point: In the comic book the Punisher is a former Green Beret and Vietnam Vet whose family is killed in Central Park during a mob drug deal gone bad. He becomes the Punisher and vows to kill those responsible. He eventually completes this task but is now a wanted man and decides to continue "punishing" those who do wrong.

This is the synopsis for the new Punisher movie: The Punisher is the tale of an FBI undercover agent who, just as he's completed his last mission that will lead to a cushy desk job, sees his family slaughtered. He becomes single-mindedly determined to exact revenge. Travolta plays Howard Saint, a former underworld figure who goes straight but returns to old habits after his son is slain. The two men square off against one another.

Why did they have to change the Punisher from an ex Green Beret to a undercover FBI agent? They couldn't have left it alone? When idiots in Hollywood go messing with characters that have worked in comics for decades, then things get fucked up.
I really hope they don't screw this movie up. It has such potential and it looks like it is going to suck.

No joke. That pic is a couple months old. The director said that it was just a quick test shot that was only meant for the producers but you would think that since it was seen by shitloads of people on the web that they would put out a better pic. He looks pretty weak in that pic. and what the fuck is up with that look on his face?

OMG, that guy as the Punisher? He's a geek. Dolph Lundgren can't act worth a damn but at least he looked Punisher-like!

That's like Ben Affleck as Daredevil. I kept thinking that Ben STILLER would have been a better Daredevil than Ben AFFLECK. (at least the superhero posees would have been less lame) Affleck is about as tormented as a Smurf!

And I happened to like Spiderman. I didn't like it as much the first time I saw it, but it grew on me.

I MUCH prefer the X-Men movies, though!
