I did see it on a few local news channels, so yes it is accurate.Originally posted by SpaceAce
Who is local6? Are they reliable? I hope the story is true because I love it when a home invader gets his balls eaten by the family dog or a liquor store stickup artists gets his forehead ventilated. That always cheers me up.

What a dumbass. If one of the guys in critical condition dies, he'll be up for murder 2 or manslaughter.Comment

Ya they arent gonna charge him with nothin, I think people underestimate public pressure in the light of all the violence in the world.Originally posted by Petr

As he should. Being the victim of a crime does in no way give you any right to commit crimes yourself. One thing is self defence, but hunting down and hurting someone is an entirely different business.Originally posted by jennym
I think the guy driving the hummer was actually charged with assault (or something similar)
He likely put other lives at risk with the chase. And he certainly put the lives of the _suspected_ robbers at risk (what happened to innocent until proven guilty?).
No civilised society would let someone get away with chasing someone down and running ower them regardless of the reason.More traffic trades wanted (TGP, TGP2, CJ):

I think you underestimate how serious vigilantism like this is taken. People are regularly arrested, tried and convicted for assault or even murder in similar cases.Originally posted by Number1Thumb

That someone has commited a crime against you simply is not an excuse, and will not give you much leniency in court (if you're unlucky, it may give the opposite result, as many judges take an active dislike to vigilantism)More traffic trades wanted (TGP, TGP2, CJ):

Yep. If you let one idiot use deadly force in a situation where he was in no real danger and he could have just called the cops, every idiot with wild west fantasies of vigilante justice is going to do the same.Originally posted by evilpurple

They got exactly what they deserved for their actions.
If more people stepped up to the plate to defend their area, would be stick up punks may think twice about pulling dumb shit and having their ass owned.Comment

Problem here is that anyone that owns a Hummer in a poor area is the enemy. There is no capitalism in the streets... Who will feel sorry for a guy that was robbed, when we can afford a Hummer.
Give me a break. The jury will fuck this guy bad... I bet they find out the guy was on roids...Comment
