The whole show was amazing and the networking done was incredible.. I don't think the Platinum party would have been shut down for just ruckus.. Everyone was TALKING and it got so loud in that room that it was like a huge rumble of sound. I've never seen a party that loud without a fight lol.. And as for the other shindigs, everything was a blast, the people are all amazing and it was a phenominal show ;)

I appreciate the opportunity to have met everyone. Sleazy is cuddly. That is all :P

I simply had the best time of my life.

I met several people at this show that had never been to a show and had a great time and thought it was worth coming.

The opportunities are there. If you fail to come away from the show feeling like it was productive then maybe the problem is not with the show but with YOU!

Pretty much everyone I know made it to the networking area at one time or another. I sat and talked to plenty of people there. I'm glad there were no booths. You get stuck in them and miss a bunch of people that are also stuck in their booth. With no booths we are all able to hang together and talk. Nobody wants to talk to you? Sorry, you must be boring, smell bad, or hiding in the corner. I talked to plenty of people that I have chatted with on boards and chatrooms but never got to meet face-to-face. Walk up to someone, say "Hi, I'm "insert name here", who are you?". It works wonders.

I'm not only confused by the idiot who wrote that letter, but I'm pissed off about it and I hope he never comes to another show.
Why?
BECAUSE IT'S BULLSHIT!

He didn't have a good show? It was his fault.
He could have gone to the opening night function, it was open to everyone.
He could have gone to the party at Stogies, it was open to everyone.
He could have gone to the Platinum Bucks party suite, it was open to everyone.
He could have gone on the Webmaster Tour, it was open to everyone.
He could have gone to the National Net party, it was open to everyone.
Don't forget the seminars and Networking Area downstairs were full of lots of people.
If he had a bad time, it must have been because of himself.
Didn't get invited to the Topbucks dinner, the Gamma dinner, the Gamma/braincash party, the NatNet bus? Too bad. Do business with them and then you might.

To write the shit down on a letter and leave it for others to find is really fucking pathetic.

I wish I got a chance to meet you since I've seen you all over the boards. Next time.

I knew very little people at this show other than from the boards. The usual crowd I've hung with at shows were not there at all. You absolutely have to just walk up to people and say "hello, what do you do?" That's what I did and most people did to me. I walked up to Sleazy and said hello. It's that easy.

If you're not that type of person, then you were screwed.

One thing though, there were very little "public" parties so I could see how a newbie would find it a bad show in that respect.

I had a great time and it was much better for talking to people due to the small area for all the people to be located.

I totally agree with ya Sleazy! This show was amazing, got more done then ever and still had a ton of time to party and have a great time! Was great hanging with ya Sleazy!

I'm still waiting to get my voice back, and anyone who saw Jman and myself knew we did it up right!

I don't know the "spread for you" guys from a bum on the street but when I stumbled upon their party, which I knew nothing about and was not invited to, I walked in and had hours of good time. (just as ANYONE else could have.

Didn't stop anybody from talking to me or me talking to them. From talking to some newbies who want some advice to sitting at a bar and trying to find "full service massage" parlours for some bigger names. It was really open and friendly.

Everything I was looking for, I found. I needed to find certain things for upcoming projects and always found someone that can provide it.

Some people don't understand Networking and if someone expects to be "given" networking contacts, screw them. Go out and do it. Chat up someone. You don't know where the party is at later? Ask someone.

I personally like this format. I've done tons of mainstream trade shows and I've never made SOLID contacts like this. Sure I've come back with stacks of business cards, but I had much less face-time. And I found $125 pretty cheap. I paid over $500 for E3 which is a gaming expo in LA.

Very little Public parties? What?!?!?! Every night there were some. I missed a bunch because I had to go to other events or dinners with some of my clients. EVERY NIGHT there was an open party. The only closed door party I can think of was Gamma's VIP party at Cathedral on saturday night, but the party they threw, it's understandable! There was still some other stuff that happened, and then you had the National Net party which was amazing! Simply everybody was there. I was STILL meeting new people there at 4am!

All I was referring to is if I were a newbie when the drinks area ended at 6pm, there were not the usual real public parties to hit like on Thursday night...until late when Platinum opened their suite. Saturday had the usual strip club party, again trying to look at it from a newcomers point of view. Of course, if it were me I would have spent my time finding out what everyone was doing so I could tag along. LOL

I was the guy from Quebec making free sites (targeting europe). I knew from the start I was not at the right show because french and english biz are different. It was my first show and I learned a lot. The Cathedral party was GREAT so thank's to Gamma.

Apparently there are some people who really just can't understand simple and concise writing. Everyone keeps saying "The parties were great" the people at the convention were great". Well I never criticized either one of those 2 things. With the exception of the pre-party the day before the convention Tradeshow Productions had NOTHING to do with the parties. Quite simply Tradeshow Productions did a lousy job of organizing this convention and the success of it was IN SPITE of their efforts. I mean really... what did they do besides booking the hotel for the convention and taking money?

Strangely enough it seems that the people who are most insulting in their replies are those who already attend all the conventions and know everyone else. And many of these people very often didn't even bother to attend the actual convention and only went to the parties anyway.

For those of you who imply that Eromodel is a newcomer or an unsuccessful business you are talking nonsense and the people that matter know it. Eromodel has been around since 1997, when most of you were probably still wondering what a pussy really looked like. Take a look at the June edition of Penthouse. You see that girl on the cover (and in the centerfold)? That is one of our models. Oh yeah... she's on the cover of the current Club International also.

And for those of you who think success is measured by how many conventions you attend and how popular you are at them... grow up.

I went by myself not knowing a soul and walked out with a killer deal on my own server, some great contacts that I'm already doing business with today, tons of new ideas and suggestions for improving my business, and to top it off I was treated to one of the best dinners I've ever had.

Wrong on all those accounts. I have no problem with you guys voicing your opinions, even so much as taking it to the boards (although the TRULY tactful thing to do would be to contact the company directly). However, HANDING OUT YOUR BS LETTER WAS UNCALLED FOR. There really is no excuse for that kind of behavior, is there? How would you feel were it YOUR hard work and effort that went into something and someone was running around pulling that garbage on you? I'm sure you'd be less than pleased.

Personally I think the convention on ALL levels was a success. I am GLAD there weren't 50 million booths for people to hide behind, and that I went up and spoke to people. I wouldn't have made even a tenth of the contacts I did had this been the case. Are you guys angry because you didn't get to have a booth to brag in? Yippie.

I'll be honest, this was my first trade show, I didn't know anyone from Adam, and I still met almost everyone at the convention at least once (although some won't remember me and vice versa), I attended the majority of the seminars, etc. I wouldn't begrudge a single penny I spent for the entire weekend. Why? Because what I got was entirely more valuable than any money I spent that weekend. It could have been for you folks, too, had you put forth the effort to see the positive and not the negative.

And as far as how long you've been around and how successful you are, why the hell are you bitching about the price of the convention and the price of drinks and whatnot if you're doing so well for yourself. $125 should be a fucking drop in the bucket, if that's the case. Don't say "it's just the principle of the thing" either, because with your behavior at the cathedral, we all know you don't stand too much by those.

Did you stop to think that the letter was at that party because the person who signed it was also there? Take a look at a couple of Gamma's most successful sites like BrunoB or Lesbo101. Most of the girls on those sites were booked through Eromodel.

My final say is this. Mister X, on this one item, I disagree with you and Daniel. If you guys would rather have a montreal run show next year, then please go ahead and organize it. I hope you are very succesful in doing it and I hope it goes very well. I would attend, many others would.

If you're not going to do it, then please stop bashing someone else and say that it should've been run by Montrealers. Ask the main montreal sponsors about how this went for them, see how they react.

To me, the sponsors got to save a lot of cash by NOT having a booth, so they were able to do things like buy banner space at the hotel, bring people out to lunch, dinner, and clubs.

The guy who distributed this letter obviosly does not know how to work a show, what ever the industry.

I've been to a lot of trade shows, garment trade, office furniture and Internet. The place to do business has always been the bar, so why not dispense with the booths and just have it as a bar/meeting/seminars event.

Seems a very good idea to me, wish I'd had time to of get there.

I am the one who sign the letter about the Montreal show.
I am also the one who after talked to lots of people at the
convention, that you can't call that an expo and let think to
people that they will get a lot of booths and people of the
industry when you know that no one judge that it was usefull
to be present at this convention and receive people as they must get receive.

Another precision. The last party sponsored by Les Girls productions was not a part of the expo. Those guys worked a lot to give you people the opportunity to meet everybody and thank's to Claude and the crew of Les Girls for doing so well.
If it was not of them, you will never met so many people and maybe today you would say the same that I said about this expo.

Where was the big players of the industry? Where was those companies like Ibill, Epoch, CCbill. I think that this was be important that some of those will be present just to talk about the new visa regulations. Where were the other big players. It seems that I'm the only one who has anough guts to say the things as it must be said.

Yes guys you met a lot of people and you did a lot of good contacts but this is not the fact of the organisation of the expo.
It's only cause you decide to talk each other and it's only cause about yourself that you did good business. If we have to pay to meet each other, where are we going?

fuckin a... i walked into that show having only briefly met dugmor and sleazydream. i walked out knowing dozens of people simply because i took the time to read namtags and introduce myself, despite the fact that i'm painfully shy around new/older people.

no one knows who the fuck i am, and as far as most people know, all i do is post on gfy. i still managed to meet new people, make some business deals and get treated to lunch at the wonderful hardrock cafe.

like anything in life, cybernet was what you made it for yourself. not what others made it for you.

Why didn't you open your mouth and ask him questions about Visa regs? I also think at least one rep from Epoch was there, and there was PSW Billing as well as a few other processors.

Where were the big players? Who do you consider to be a "big player"? Eric was there to represent Adult.com. AaronM was there repping PIBCash, people were there from WEGCash, TopBucks, Python/Dollarmachine, Gammacash, Platinum Bucks, and the list goes on and on.

CCBill had several Reps there, and a lot of the large companies were represented. Gamma, Topbucks, Adult.com, Platinum, ummm.. I know you were there, man, didn't you see them? :P I know you supplied girls and that's cool too, but really, You made way more than $125.00 in business. Isn't that alone worth it, in the big scale of things? And there are a lot of people I know at the show who said they wanted to shoot in Montreal, isn't that worth it too? C'mon.

don't want to be harsh, but why not try seeing the cup as half FULL instead of half EMPTY? Why not just take what you got and run with it? You have EVERY right to your opinions but your way of dealing with things just came off VERY badly, and especially considering the health problems of the organizers recently before the event, it's highly unfair without all the facts. some factual errors

umm, yes the lesgirls party was AWSOME, but the national net party was the last one. It was open to all.

Where were the big players? There are NO small conventions that ALL the the big players attend - that's what internext is for. there were PLEANTY (15+) of big players represented at this show. I'm defining that as companies with $10+million annual revenue. that's GREAT big player representation for a small show.

I assume you supply models for free, cause you seem to think people who spend their full time career promoting cybernet expo shouldn't get paid.

You say the show was a success dispite the convention organisers. You seem to miss the point that the other parties EXISTED because the convention existed, not the other way around. Even at internext there are dozens of parties not connected to AVN in any way - SURPRISE SURPRISE. If you improve your attitude you might ACTUALLY get invited to some of them. The only parties at internext REALLY worth attending are INVITE ONLY.

Everything you do in this world comes back to you. I, and many many many others, were VERY disappoionted in your attitude on this event.

Seriously, it doesn't matter how many shows I go to, I still meet tons of new people including at least a few major players that i didn't even know existed.

it was great seeing everyone and I look forward to doing it all again in Miami.

I totally agree with ya here JMan, Tony that limo bus was nice nice nice man, thanks for all the grey goose and the rides around town, we tried our hardest to make the night interesting and out of control, and as people are learning JMan and myself do it like no other!!
