Top Bucks exits to a their popup blocker?

I went to a topbucks site and they have this as an exit: http://www.iblockpopups.com

Does this hurt other porgrams when topbucks starts blocking everyones consoles?

Yeah I got it as well, was like the 4th or 5th console.

Didn't Cashquest kill a program similar to this because webmasters were against it?

Pop ups suck. I won't use sponsors that have tons of them. Oh, wait a minute... I don't use sponsors at all anymore.

its kinda ironic that on one thread everyong is estatic because the alexatoolbar added it, then have a hissy fit when someone tries to make money off it.

I was one of the only people that defended cashquest way back when, because it is stupid not to make money off that. Earthlink, Alexa, etc, the popup blockers are coming in full force, why not make 30 bucks selling it to retarded surfers.

Thanks, BTW I realized I had my security settings on low (lowered them the other day because they were getting in the way of something I was trying to do) so that's probably why it installed without a permission prompt.

But instructions on removing it will help, thanks.

Great idea TopBucks...auto install popup blockers on surfers computers so they no longer see any of ours or your popups...

                    WHATS UP WITH THAT?

Please advise the logic behind this...

Seems to be shortsighted to me. Grab the odd sale and then never again from that customer.

                              Guys,

This pop up blocker is actually worse than we think. Just tried it on a few of my sites. Went to a Top Bucks gallery clicked on a banner and let the pop ups go through their sequence at which point the pop up killer was installed. If you have your galleries opening in a new window like most tgp's do it seems to block you from opening your gallery (when the surfer goes to click on a new gallery) which means that once someone goes to a topbucks site unless they figure out how this thing works or what's going on and turn it off (which is unlikely with your average person) in their toolbar they will not be able to access any of your galleries that you have opening in a new window. Which means they will leave your site and go to another. Just my 2 cents but this is one of the worst things I have ever seen in this industry and I've been doing this for a long time. I'm going to have to suspend use of topbucks until they get rid of this shit.

The popup blocker is not auto-install. If you click "no" on the prompt that asks whether you want to install the blocker software, then the software does not install.

Popup blockers are proliferating quickly at this point; several major ISPs/browser agents now bundle popup killers into their browsers by default. Essentially, we've decided that if users are going to be installing popup blockers in droves, anyway, it's in our best interest to be a part of that market and get some benefit from it, rather than resist it. With popup killers being pushed by all the major ISPs, I don't think that adult affiliate programs staying away from marketing this type of software would slow its proliferation in any meaningful way.

That was a quick mind change there on your part Topbucks.

I think it was the right thing to do too. My TGP site opens galleries in new windows so the surfer doesn't have to reload my page so many times. They like it better and so do I.

I really like Topbucks too and hope that at Internext in Vegas... I know way off, but I want to hang out at the party again... hehe

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
