from the screenshots, looks like graphics are about on par with ut2k3 and splinter cell, BUT, half-life is old and really needed a new version. it looks fucking sweet, i'll be buying that one
i'm really not too worried, with my 2400+ and my radeon 9700 128mb. ut2k3 at 1600x1280x32 doesn't even make the machine flinch... at all. but i've also got nice memory and kick-ass hard drives, with a little overclocking.

It's not the graphics that are impressive, it's the interaction with the environment. Absolutely everything can be manipulated, and the physics of the environment seem incredibly realistic. Nothing else i've seen has even come close to the kind of interactivity we've had a peak of in HL2. I'm creaming my pants right now.

i do think they're raising the bar again. it's amazing how old the original half life is. what, probably like 5 or 6 years old, isn't it? and still fun as hell and played worldwide. crazy shit.
i can't wait for it to come out. but i just spent $350 on my vid card a few months back, so i really don't want to upgrade just yet
