Halo
Brute Force (just picked this one up on Friday)
Splinter Cell
Jedi Outcast
Morrowind

Gameboy Advance SP.

It fits in my pocket.

I have 2 of them PS2 and GameCube...

I stand by the statement of...

If you like RPG's and Sports get a PS2
If you like platform jumpers and the nintendo and sega exclusive's get a gamecube oh yea and if you want to get your wife into gaming..get a gamecube, animal crossing

Playstation2, in my opinion.

1 - You can play CDs and DVDs
2 - You can play any PS1 games
3 - You can add Linux, 40 Gig drive, Keyboard, mouse and network adapter thus replacing a need for a PC if you only use it for programming, etc...
4 - Online gaming, companies prefer Sony because they can have their own network/pricing schemes, as opposed to one large network (a la XBox).
5 - No green screen of death (again, XBox)


I'd see it this way:

If you have young kids, or people who enjoy colorful games that look like they are for kids, stick with Nintendo as that is their market

If you love Microsoft and pc games, you'll probably be an XBox fan (I've always hated pc games however)

If you aren't in the two groups above, go with PS2 =)

nintendo - first party support, mario, zelda, metroid, fZERO and all types of mario type game spin offs. Plus they also have a lot of jap. support that Sony/MS don't have which is a plus. The fact that you can attach a gameboy to your gc is just an added plus. I wouldnt recomend this system for anyone who really doesnt play games(nintendo brand games). Very Cheap though


sony is basically controlling the industry. they can do whatever they want. they have all the support because they have 30 million plus consoles in homes across the world. game developers make 2x more games for this system because of the number of consoles in the homes of potential buyers.

ms is trying to monopolize an industry. making a lot of progress too. they have just as many games as nintendo does, and the support of sony. what they can't create they get someone to create for them, or buy out. xbox has a 10gig hd, ethernet cord, is usb comp. its basically a pc made just for gaming, which makes shit easier for game developers. plus the fact that sony is suppose to about to release an updated ps2(120 gig hd, DVDR, tivo capabilities), is only pushing MS to make something bigger than SONY.


or you could just get a good pc and have it for gaming. i have a gaming pc, an xbox, pc and ps2. i play my xbox/pc the most, my brother has my ps2 and my girlfriend has my gc. after awhile mario and other nintendo first party games get boring. i use my pc for games that are out on ps2 but not the xbox. my xbox is mainly for sports and halo. if you can afford them get all three(not including a pc), if not you have to decide what you really want out of a gaming system.

I have Xbox and PS2 and play the Xbox far more, the games for the PS2 seen to be more 1 player and geared towards younger kids.

i think xbox is a better gaming system but ps2 has more games.

I prefer Xbox.. the only two things that makes me want a ps2 is tekken and grand theft auto 3 + vice city.
