Server Beach: Great deals, no adult sites

Server beach offers nice packages, I copied one offer below.

But come on, 2000gig!?!? Who else is really going to need that other than an adult site, or a really big company that has lots of other traffic.

I have a friend who's been running an adult site on there for about a year and half and they haven't said anything.

My question is, how many people out there using Server Beach for their adult sites? Perhaps Server Beach publicly states they won't host adult sites, but in reality they turn a blind eye.

Btw, they state clearly in their FAQ that no adult sites are to be hosted.

    Any ideas?

If they state no adult websites, I'd never host an adult website there. They could kill it at any time. That time would come during a hun listing or something...

Sounds to me like they are way oversold knowing (hoping) that nobody is going to use all their bandwidth. A shitty practice with ultimately shitty results for somebody.

      checkout calpop.net,

I spoke to the sales rep over there and they DO allow adult with 2000gb bandwidth.

Because $219 barely covers costs, not considering the 2000gb.

            I hear that.

Speaking of calpop, anyone there ever heard of them?

            The link again is: http://www.calpop.net/dedicated.html

They offer 2000gig for $185. --not sure if that's split 1000 up and 1000 down--

I'm not in the server business, but according to most of the exeperts on this board it sounds too good to be true. I wouldn't mind buying a server from them and submitting a shit ton of gallery pages via that server and a different URL, but I don't think I'd try to put my pay site on something that sketchy.

if you know how to manage your own server. i can hook you up with good deals.

              1tb for 75/month

its unmanaged tho. it would be housed with alexa.com sun microsystems.

              30$ extra each 100 gig

              adult allowed.
