    Photoshop Tut Needed

    Does anyone know a photoshop tutorial that can walk me through learning how to make a REAL splash or tour page?

    I mean there must be standards since all the major sites have similar look & feel

      You need a design tutorial... not a photoshop one... Photoshop is just a tool for the imagination.

              One tip... Keep all the improtant information above the fold... You do not want your viewers to have to scroll for the join button or preview.

              All the improtant information to gain the sale MUST be there when the viewer opens your page.

                      You can LEARN how to make a good splash page, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will stand up to the standards of those major paysite splash page sites.

                          I really dont know what to do.

                          Im not happy with the way my site is turning out (or converting).

                          Mark Tiarra did the front page design work, and he did it exactly how i asked for it ..... just wonder if i shoulda asked for something else since now im not happy with the "feel" of it.

                          Id hate to dump anymore cash into this design when i have no definate plans for the site.

                          My biggest problem is that i dont know if im ready to manage my own paysite yet, and i dont know if im cutting myself short with AVS, and i dont know what my other options are.

                          Too many "I dont knows" to feel comfortable dumping more cash into it.

                                      Walk away for a while and rethink what it is you want to do... then go ball out and hope for the best.

                                              I'm a firm believer in NOT taking the "me too" approach to surfer site design. Why would someone want to join a site that's virtually indistinguishable from most of the other sites in that genre? Why do so many "teen" sites go tits up or languish? The market is saturated and 9 out of 10 of them look like they were cloned from TeenSteam of two years ago. (Today's TeenSteam actually does like different from most teen sites...it looks like a cross between the old TeenSteam and SuicideGirls.)
                                              SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
