One shouldn't make fun of the Navy. I'm pretty sure they aren't gay.
They live in cramped quarters, eat shitty food, and don't set foot on solid ground for months at a time.... Just to ensure that you sleep good at night.
I joined the Navy when I got out of Highschool. I went AWOL because I could not stand the repeated sexual advances toward me by other sailors. Funny white hats, and bell bottom slacks should have been the first clue.
All I wanted to do was protect America for evil. The Navy was no place for a SuperHero like myself.

blah blah blah... I'm sick to death of hearing about this shit. People in the military aren't "heroes" or any shit like that. They are people doing a job. Just like the janitor at McDonald's, they are working for a living. bfd. We all do.

except the guy cleaning the MCDonalds toilet isn't going to suit up and kill other humans to protect your worthless ass if need be. He's sitting at the lowest common denominator of society. (short of being homeless and loaded on crack)
Don't compare full time warriors with janitors. Even you aren't that stupid.

Janitor was simply the most inflammatory thing I could think of. Could have been a crane operator or whatever. People working are all the same to me. The job they choose doesn't make them a hero.

in that I can agree.... but let's not go the janitor route...
he is a natural born canadian, will be serving in the US military.
i do agree that people in the service are doing a job they are paid for but not many other jobs aside from police, and such, put on a uniform everyday knowing full well that they may die that day for a cause greater then themselfs. there are other jobs that involve possibly dying but none near as honorable.

Two days into bootcamp you missed mommy and went and cried about smoking pot and lying about it.
I'm sure the national defense of the United States suffered when you deserted. You were in a foreign Navy, right?
