I think it is the look on his face in the other two....... it just looks forced. I'd be willing to bet that if you just get him to be more natural, and not SOOO posed, he'd work out great.
I run an amateur posting board and alot of the women there are into this type of guy, but the women do often tell the guys to relax and when they do, they get FAR better results.

He has this evil grin that he does that makes him look scary...Joker-type scary.

I was at a club once and talking to my friend, we saw this GORGEOUS guy walk by. I said that he was a sub and she said I was crazy, but sure enough about an hour later we saw him on the end of a leash held by .. well I can only describe her as a goddess.. 1) The obvious: the hair isn't working. Instead of a wild-and-free look, it just looks frizzed at the ends. It also makes his ear look funny. Pulling his hair back in a ponytail or brushing it down to the sides would do a lot of good.
2) This is the important one. It's his posture. Looking at him from the side you can see that he's hunched a little. His shoulders are so far forward they are almost lined up with his chest instead of being back where a man's shoulders belong when he's standing. It looks like he's leaning forward just a little. Simply straightening up would help a lot. How you carry yourself has a lot to do with how people perceive you, even in a photo.
