done this 100 times, never takes. for alot of people it takes a really good health scare to finally be done with smokes.
my Mom is 72 or 73, smoked i guess since she was 16, she got really sick suddenly about a month ago, the ambulance came with the respiratory equipment, took her to the hospital. When she got out she said no more cigarettes, a life long habit - poof. only cuz she got scared half to death.
of course, a person quitting smoking after 50 years can't undo most of the damage.
gotta be a tough way to die, of booze or smoking related diseases, cuz you're sitting there knowing you did it to yourself.

It's been over 72 hours. I'm no longer addicted physically to Nicotine.
I've tried over the years, but never was 100% behind it. I know I won't have another smoke ever.
No patch, no gum, just cold turkey. Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions before. I just did it.
