yes he did it cause he asked and people like Led Zepplin & Sting gave him the rights to sample their songs...

So IF you are pissed that people sample old classic(?) songs then you shouldn't blaime rap MC's, you should blaime those people (sting, etc..) who gives the rights to rap MC's to sample their songs....!!

And Sting made more money from the I'll be missing you song by Puff Daddy than he had done with his "own" music in 15 years...

I totally agree and I have lost a lot of respect for Jimmy Page because of that.
