and I have my speculations as to how it got out.
That is all I will say about that.
All I can say unequivocally is MARVAD and SEXBRAT.COM had NOTHING to DO WITH IT. Their master tape was given back to the Hilton's

It would depend on what flags were set for this file.
Strange thing is I can't find anything in the Right Manager
Agreements that would cause Microsoft to revoke their licence
due to copyright violation. Looks like Microsoft has decided to not
put any mention of copyright violation so that they don't then
have to police the content on licence servers.
I would guess that they've have some terms that could get the
person running this licence server shutdown however.

Anyone with a decent video card that has video out can record this to a tape, but you need a tv tuner card or video in to rip it to your computer. You have to pay to do this. Anyone else want more info on how to do this?

People are just stupid. Microsoft DRM's protection wont be cracked in an afternoon.
But:
1. There ARE programs that can cap whole screen as video. Or just inside Media Player, yes. One of them is "Snag It" if i remember right.
2. An even easier method: Just use video/TV-out on your pc. Then record it back from VHS or whatever.
And it's quite hard to believe that if the tape is real, noone of all these people, who paid the 50$ have done that so far.Comment

DRM 7 was cracked in 2001, but no one has come close to cracking DRM 9.
