i seen a video (trying to find it again) which was shots last week and he didn't have any prooblems with freeting any notes or anything. I could see how being way too fat could affect playing guitar especially after the 12th fret since it's small and gets smaller but he's not a blimp. he was quite hefty during the tour for the War to end all wars album tour (2002) and also the previous one (i think) but he had no problems playing.

Seriously, he was REALLY fat about 1-2 years ago. I heard it had something to do with beating an addiction and medication. Since then, he's been losing some of the weight.

as far as yngwie malmsteen's guitar playing, he's a truly amazing player, and i've also seen him slow down and play blues on a video, and he was just as good slower.

as far as weight and guitar playing, there's a guitar player here with a band called 22 jacks (i think it was 22). anyway, he's large enough he has to play sitting down and good enough to blow the other bands around him away. he works the entire fretboard, too.

well, when the day comes that I can afford shit again I will be sure to come and jam hehe.. Yep, Yngwie plays good even slow.. Especially when he plays on his Ovation guitar..

Yes, 1 - 2 years ago Yngwie was a bit hefty but he wasn't way out there. But nevertheless, he can play and that's the main thing.. hell, i'm skinny and i suck at playing haha and i can prove it.
