    Ultra Targeted Traffic

    Hey people.

    Listen, as most of you know I filter my traffic by country for my customers, but I am looking into taking this up to the next level.

    Would any of you guys be interested in purchasing some even more highly targeted traffic? I am talking about being able to deliver you traffic, not only by country, but right down to the zip code.

    For instance, Tom (Va2k) could receive traffic only from surfers in Virginia for his site Virginia Amateurs - Tommy (Tommys Bookmarks) could receive traffic only from surfers from NYC for his site NewYorkWhores (if he still has that going), etc. You get the idea.

    Any feedback on this would be appreciated. I may be able to implement this system in a matter of days if there is enough of an interest in it.

                      honestly, for adult i think that would be useless..

                                      Dont say it's impossible just because im doing something you
                                      are not capable of...

                                      If you had a huge, daily updated, database of all isp's + ip-sub ranges + matching areas you could get close but it would never be reliable enough to put it to practicle use.

                                      Trust me on that one.

                                                          There is no way to filter traffic to this degree of accuracy. The best you can do is trace the IP back to whoever it belongs to but that isn't very helpful. If you trace the IP to "X Corporation, Baltimore, Maryland" that doesn't help you because they could have a massive pool of IP addresses they use for all their customers for miles and miles around. Don't forget that many ISPs share resources or lease lines from central installations. Around here, you can get your DSL from about twenty providers but your username is always "[email protected]" because they are really all handled in the same place.

                                                                          There are IP to City databases out there. Never seen an IP to ZIPcode one though. I'm sure it's fairly accurate, but I doubt one could pinpoint the EXACT zip code any surfer is in. Mayeb a neighboring zip code..

                                                                              Again, you can take my IP address and get the corporation or entity it belongs to but that won't necessarily be particularly close to where I am actually sitting. It probably won't be hundreds of miles off, but it won't be pinpoint accurate, either.

                                                                                              I have tested it on friends and it seems to be accurate down to the city at least, which is incredible in and of itself.
