Anyone use this?

They claim 90% rebill rates and an average retention of 8-9 months on their page. I have a hard time believing that.. what is your experience?

I don't use ProAdult... mainly because you can spoof all their pages -_-

So most of your traffic will be from ppl who "illegally accessed" your site.

If you want to go with a trustworth AVS then use AB ^-^

What exactly do you mean by spoofing? Referrer spoofing to fool the AVS sites .htaccess?

I have seen 75% retention in my worst months, 93% in my best.

The key is that they offer some components that are very satisfying to users. If you update your site periodically, and link to other quality Quantum sites, you shouldn't have a hard time keeping them.

I see AB hacked just as much as ProAdult.

Teleport is pretty devious when it comes to that. The free version is shit, but with the Pro you can spoof the user agent, the referrer, and enable domain dispersed querying x10. By x10 I mean you can run up to 10 simultaneous dl threads at a time despite whatever limits on individual sessions the server admin has setup.

If you know how to use it and have as fast connection, its murder on paysites. I can't see any way to stop it.

But how many users how about shit like that?

I hear ya. Only problem is, give it a year or two, and it will be all over the pirate boards in no time.

I remember when zspoof was a semi-obscure program. Now even the dumbest freeloaders know about it and use it.

I hadn't heard of zspoof.. just downloaded it. Ouch, very simple to use. I have a list of AVS login referrers for .htaccess files and it worked on every site I tried.

You should be able to stop it by naming your members area directory something that is non-obvious though. Is there a way around that?

Still no biggy. Spoofing htaccess has been known about for several years already, and it's taken this long for it to become even vaguely noticeable to webmasters.

I know a guy who's wrote a security script to prevent this among other issues, Strongbox AVS and Strongbox Paysite from the Webmastersguide.

Anyways... ProAdult, one of my fav AVS's, and retention is high.

One of my sites is listed in the above list. They keep saying "we are working on it" but Ive heard that for the past four months. Two things that keep me from caring.

1. The people who are doing the spoofing probably wouldnt buy shit anyway and

2. Its their bandwidth getting burned.

Well, that should say something to ya... that PA is a well known AVS and popular with the spoofers. No different than the top paysites with password trading. If it's popular, there are pass requests. If the webmaster thinks this is a major issue, it's down to them to secure their sites. I've been on spoofing lists, can't say I burned a noticeable amount of bandwidth.

They probably don't class it as a major problem. Most of the spoofs involve their own servers, so it's their bandwidth. If it's one of your servers being spoofed, you can protect it.

I like proadult, lots of linklist traffic and retention is really high.
Using my domains and their freehosting, and don't worry about spoofing
btw, you guys with PA regular sites and linklists, check my sig, I'll be adding 6 new quantum sites within 10 days. if you need gallery templates, banners, freesite logos etc let me know I'll make them for free.

ProAdult isn't your typical AVS. The reason it retains so well is because it has a strong amateur community who really *do* update their sites and are involved in their sites. They respond to members' requests, do webcam shows, answer their emails, etc.
Joining Quantum is like joining 50+ amateur sites at once.

Typical "link list whore" strategies of "build it and forget it, then build 30 more" won't work well at ProAdult. If that's the way you're used to working, better that you stick with Cyberage, Sexkey, etc.
