Federal prison is not harsh at all actually. When I was younger my friend got sent there for six months, for a similar crime. He said no one did shit like that, it was filled with drug dealers, scam artists, computer hackers, fraud guys, and of course, ex-ceo's. Also, they keep you locked in for a lot longer than regular prison. State prison is something to fear, Fed prison is something to look forward to.WickedFire.com - Stay here. Had a friend in for under a year on a real estate deal where they had overstated their income by several hundred thousand on the bank loan. Hacking? He'll get sent to some minimum security farm where he can read, exercise, and watch TV most of the day with the rest of the white collar types.
Those places are more like summer camps you can't leave than actual prisons. Alot of them don't even have any sort of fencing.. they just expect you'll stay because the additional sentence for escaping is always greater than what you've got to serve.

I have a buddy who just got sentenced to 8 months in the Fed. Penn. It's a continuation of some time he was doing there last year. According to him, it's a cake walk. His girl can even drive down and he can walk or drive around the "campus" with her. They call it a campus...thought that was pretty funny. He's never been harassed, never been stuffed in the ass. Says it isn't actually all that bad...considering.Comment

a friend of mine went to federal and they let him have a band in there. He had a drumset and 2 other guys had guitars..they just jammed everyday for 5 hours...dosent sound bad to me. I guess in federal though you actually do the time they give you..unlike state prison where they sentence you to 5 years and you do only 2Comment

Federal prison is not bad, know 3 or 4 people that have served time. State prisons I know about Diff. story, know many that have spent a few days in Texas and California prisons (he wouldn't like' em at all).
