OK, it's the same old story---just got some asswipe to buy memberships in 6 of my sites within 15 minutes---all with "check" purchase, all with same yahoo email address.
i know it's fraud because he bought (2) recurring memberships to the same site as part of his "package".
so i call my rep at Ibill and i ask if there is anyway i can block this guy since i'm sure it's fraud. she says "yes" we can block his specific email address.
well, i know that isn't going to do me any good, because this kid can have another email address within 10 minutes.
she then goes on to explain to me that "i don't really lose because a revoke doesn't cost me any money".
and i don't take the time to tell her that shooting all original content and paying bandwidth for some jerkoff to steal my stuff does cost me real money.
now the question is, who has the best situation for taking checks?---i want to continue to take them because IF they are good they do rebill nicely; problem is it seems 30% or so of check purchases piss back as fraud, and probably Ibill is the worst of our 4 e-commerce vendors.
(and ccbill isn't much better)
globill is better, but they are a weak sister in terms of approvals overall, but i could steer all checks to them if necessary.
who's got the best deal that might actually begin to solve this problem---is it netbilling? or someone else?
are e-commerce companies even trying to work on this problem?
because the check deal as it sits now REALLY SUCKS.
thanks for any advice.
