Who went fishing over the weekend???

I went fishing over the weekend and caught a 100 lb Tarpon down in the keys.

He pulled the boat around for a little while and I finally got him
to the boat after about 45 minutes.

He jumped 7 times.

Anybody else got any fishing stories?

I live on a small stocked lake, so I went fishing this weekend. But I didn't catch anything - I never do - these fish have been there so long they know the drill, hehehe.

the hot spots around channel II bridge.

i caught a snook down on indian rocks beach a few years ago.. it was like midnight on a summer night, wading about 10 feet out.. was about to head in for the night , started reeling the line in, and felt the bite, i thought i snagged something so i didnt think anything of it, my lil cousin was like "SHARKKK!!", now keep in mind im from new jersey, i dotn fuck with sharks, so i stopped reelign and just ran toward the beach, dragged in a 3+ foot snook, luckily no one was around, so i threw it in a bucket and brought it home, snook sandwiches for lunch =]

Nice, snook are my second favorite after Tarpon .

I live in the northeast, about an hour from boston. We go fishing for Stripers, which are the Tarpon's little brother. One time nightfishing, I caught a 64 pound Striped Bass, fought with me for well over an hour. When they are that size, they don't get tired as easy, one of the best catches of my life, but the best was the Budweiser lure (it's a novelty thing in every store up here, a Bud can with hooks on it) it had stuck in its stomach.

Never caught a stiper but have always wanted too.

Come on up this summer, we are either partying on the boat or fishing from June- late August. They're great fun, plus we got bluefish, flounder, tuna, lobsters, crabs... amazing what you can catch with one type of bait... but you don't know "fight" till you get a big blue.

I hate fishing. Last time I went we hired out a boat for a few hours. Spent 2 hours trying to catch some fish, had no success.

So we came back to our hotel and all I got for my days fishing was sunburn all over...... Was in agony for days

friday evening i took my gf out for a little fishing and we ended up with these 2 nice kings and a big ass yellowtail snapper. The fishing has been on fire down here for the past couple weeks.

beavis - did you get a pic of the tarpon? I was down there a couple months ago and saw some monsters rolling off of key largo.
