I was just thinking of a way to make a bundle.
I could post that I have amazing traffic for sale. I would get about 200 webmasters (at least) to sign up if I posted it on GFY probabaly a lot more. I would Buy traffic from an established traffic broker and redirect it to 25% to %50 of the people that bought traffic just so I can have a few "Great traffic!" and "Ya this really works!" type post to pop up on the board, thus ensuring I get even more webmasters to send me money.
If any of the other 50% start asking "where is my traffic" I could say, Sorry its coming Im overloaded but dont worry I just hired people to help me catch up" I have an office and 3 secratarys. Just no web site for my web based business and no phone number or address to be reached at.
Sounds like the old insurance scams.
Not to say I am accusing you of scamming. But its pretty obvious it would work

If someone works as hard as greedinc does, and I have known him for 4 years, don't you think he has better things to do than sit on a board? Christ, he says to e-mail him, but people post. The traffic has been so little and so bad that it doesn't even come close to matching those comments. To everyone else, the new system is up as of 5 hrs ago... What was happening to everyone (ive explained this personally to a few) was the way our traffic system was setup by my programmer advertising links we're in "chains", the way a chain worked was there would be 5 sites in a chain for example, and it would show the first site in the chain to our users, if and when they visited that site, it would dissapear, and 24hrs later, the next one in the chain would appear.
The obvious problem with this was the first site in each chain was receiving all the traffic and the rest were receiving less and less as it went down the chain. So I had to have my programmer re-write a system that would rotate the links in the chain so that everyone would get the same amount of traffic. This is why some people (4 or 5), experienced really good amounts of traffic and wanted more and more while others received a less and less as they went down the chain. And in the same way if the 1st site in the chain really wasnt that interesting no users would really ever see the 2nd, or 3rd, etc, nevermind those at the end of the chain.
So I have been on the programmer all week to rewrite the system in a way that everyone was rotated an equal amount, and that has finally, finally gone up this afternoon, and I know I have been promising it to everyone since before the weekend but it's taken longer than I had hoped, but everything looks very smooth now and the rotation is very slick.
But to explain what was happening before, those handful of you that had 1st place spots in the chains were getting good traffic, those second were getting little to none, and those beyond the 2nd or 3rd spots really weren't getting much of anything unfortunately. The reason we do the chains at all in the first place is to assure that the traffic we send is good, and that a user doesnt visit too many of our advertising sites per day...
Tried to cover everything, I have to run out but I'll check my email when I get back, everyone that purchased advertising and has any questions what so ever, even down to the tiniest things, please send an email to jeremy ([email protected]), and please carbon copy me and I will personally make sure that everyone is more than taken care of and I'm deciding now what to give those who had lower spots in the chains and didnt receive the bursts of traffic they should have over the past days...
I thank you all for your patience and apologize for all the inconvenience, and look forward to personally making it up to all of you...

I thought i would give some light on this system.
I suspect this traffic system is the same system as all the other hits for sale on ebay. Its a auto surf system. Basically a user signs up and opens up a browser with their link they are given. It is a frame browser. at the top it shows maybe a banner and a timer with some links like pause, back, next, etc. In the bottom frame it shows the advertisers page (your page). Then after 30 sec timer is up, the top frame opens another page in the bottom frame for 30 sec.
Why would anyone want to sit there watching a page for 30 sec? Because its like a traffic exchange. They see 5 pages for 30 sec and get credit to let other people watch their page for 30 sec 4 time. So, the auto surf system gets a free page view which they sell.
The prob with this is you can just minimize the browser and its still auto surfing. There's alot of these around, and its easy to sign up for a lot of em and be auto surfing generating credits. Not saying all people do that, but don't see why people woudn't leave it on and watch tv.Comment
