Been doing what I've been told for one paysite and I've had over 1 million uniques to my galleries, with around $80 actually going into my pocket. Just curious if this sounds right to all of you more experienced webmasters out there...

yeah that is about right.
1 mil uniques with a 5% click through is 50k. Bad sponsor does 1:2000 so you should have 25 signups. 22 signups to bandwidth bill and you kept the rest.Comment

Paying $100/month. Not cheap, just inexperienced - hence my situation and question... I can honestly say I'm not one of these idiots thinking this is a quick buck and all I need is some free hosting and some wack pages with ripped off content or something... I actually am trying to learn as much as I can and put my all into my work.... I just figured a million uniques would equal out to more than $80, that's all....Comment

post some of your galleries so we can see if thats your problem
tell us who your spnsors are
what kinda traffic are you getting it looks to me by those numbers that
a.) you are gett alot of foreign traffic eg chiness etc
b.) you are somehow getting hitbot traffic
or
c.) you are getting hitbot and chinese traffic
try submitting some free sites see how that goes
make some AVS sites and if hosting is a major concern use revsharehosting it would be great in your situation as you would learn as you go without having to worry about the hosting bill355 north
