54 hours without drugs. After about 35 the idea of sleep seemed obsurd. But I ended going to sleep because I was bored, movies didn't make any sense, and words looked like a bunch of strange cave drawings.Comment

4 days 3 nights .
after that i slept for 8 hours got up and felt fine. Dont want to do it again

I had insomnia real bad in high school. It lasted a whole year. For a month solid in the worst of it I was going 4 days, slept 15 minutes, and another 4 days, repeat. A whole goddamn month. Hell, if I wasn't going to sleep, I was going to be productive. Wrote the crappiest 2 act play. There wasn't a dirty dish in the house. I actually DID homework (very unlike me). Here's my record as best i can remember:
6 days. slept 2 hours. went another 4 days.

I am a Insomniac.
I sleep about 4 hours a day usually 5 hours is sleeping in.
Longest duration with no sleep was 5 days about 2 years ago no drugs just thinking to much.
After day 3 things get pretty weird.

days, it was mostly anxiety but also I i'm like KRL, when my dad was dying i didn't sleep for almost 6 days, anxiety and also I am superstitious, like if my favorite sports teams loses and I didn't watch I wonder if the same result would have happened if I had watched, and vice versus when I watch and they lose. So I was thinking if my dad is in this really rough shape, i can't just close my eyes and sleep for 7 hours, even if I'm just sitting their worrying it has to be better than going unconscious. I'm pretty much an atheist but i still like to cover my bases in bad times

The longest I've gone w/out sleep was three days...I'd had a bad cold for almost 2 weeks, and I'd been taking Nyquil liquicaps. You think those things would make you sleep like the dead, right? If you take them for too long, apparently you can have a rebound effect and get hyper, sleepless, and manic.
I was just spun, man -- I was jittering and shaking and talking really fast, it was like my vision was jumping around, or maybe my eyes were jumping around in my head. When I finally crashed, I slept for 24 hours, and it took me a few days to feel right again. I can tell you truly, I will never in my life touch meth if it does anything even remotely close to that.
Otherwise I have horrible insomnia most of the time, anyway. Mine is anxiety-related...I can sleep just fine in the daytime, but I hate sleeping when it's dark. Has to do with my childhood -- I had to be on guard at night, because that's when some really fucked-up shit would happen. Consequently, I feel terrified when I try to sleep at night. If I do fall asleep, I sleep for a few hours and then wake up. Like just now, I went to sleep at 11PM, after dosing myself up with antihistamines, and woke up at 1AM...been up ever since, reading fanfic, writing a story, eating cereal...

Mine is 48 hours... during traveling around USA.
Went from Cincinnati OH to Buffalo NY.. Wanted to see a Niagra Falls. Then in Buffalo I figured, what the hell, its only 450 miles to NYC, gotta check out a friend of mine.
Went there over night.
Came back in the morning, picked my friends, spend all day on the falls, and in the evening went back to Cincinnati.
2000 miles drive and 46-48 hours without sleep.. My heart begun to hurt on the end..
