In my experience with servers: you get what you pay for. What you WANT to pay for is fast capable support and service. The only time you notice your servers is when they are fucking up, so you don't want to notice your servers at all.

i've seen that. it's an unmanaged box. would probably be a good 'fuck-around' box, maybe a game server, or backup or something.

Not only is that price just plaing stupid, but AMD Duron's are time bombs. I would say that deal is actually a bad price because you are going to end up eating the cost of all your hard work when that fuckin thing blows up. heh.
