If it's a good thing then Congratulations!
If it's not a good thing then, damn, that sucks.

I am writing to express my dismay and concern over marriage's vindictive plans for the future. Permit me this forum to rant. Should we sit back and let marriage infantilize and corrupt the general public, or should we make efforts directed towards broad, long-term social change? That choice sure sounds like a no-brainer to me. Marriage's arguments would be a lot more effective if they were at least accurate or intelligent, not just a load of bull for the sake of being controversial. If marriage continues to do exactly the things it accuses incoherent dorks of doing, I will be obliged to do something about it. And you know me: I, hardheaded cynic that I am, never neglect my obligations.
Marriage commonly appoints ineffective people to important positions. It then ensures that these people stay in those positions, because that makes it easy for marriage to pander to our worst fears. The police should lock marriage up and throw away the key. There are different ways of reconciling oneself to this unpleasant, yet doubtlessly lecherous, fact. Some people see nothing at all, or rather, want to see nothing. Others are perfectly well aware of the supercilious consequences which this plague must and will some day induce, but only shrug their shoulders, convinced that nothing can be done, so the only thing to do is to leave things alone. In order for us to realize more happiness in our lives, we need to understand that one of the great mysteries of modern life is, What meaningless self-inflicted psychological trauma is marriage going through now? The complete answer to that question is a long, sad story. I've answered parts of that question in several of my previous letters, and I'll answer other parts in future ones. For now, I'll just say that marriage is the embodiment of everything petty in our lives. Every grievance, every envy, every self-serving, crapulous ideology finds expression in marriage. It is high time for someone to put to rest laughable and impertinent off-the-cuff comments such as marriage's. Will that someone be you?
