I bought a few domains did a couple months work on them and sold them for 10k avg a piece. not saying i sold my stuff to suckers but feel proud of what i got for them. just had to find the right person.SIG TOO BIG! If a good domain comes up for sale, the sellerer will ALWAYYS take a lower bid from someone he trusts rather than someone who is blowing smoike out his ass.
Heres an example:
Three months ago somomeone posted schoolsex.com for sale on this board. A lot of people scoffed at the asking price. several peoplele made offers, I saw it it as a name that had good value and offered his full asking price. I got it. 1700 dollars for a perfect name targeted to schoolgirls that now makes me 150 dollars a month. i have no marketring skills, I cant make a decent web page for the life of me, but I have 1 more domain name that makes free money because i have an eye for what will sell. I have already made 1/3 of my money back in 3 months, but if you want to buy it cheap, you will have to wait until I have made what I paid for it.
To make a long story short, It isnt even for sale until I have made double my investment. Then I might consider selling it for what i paid. schoolsex.com gets 300 hits a a day.

Sure, you can brand whatever.com to be associated with your great services, but what if you also had the web address of the actual title of your industry?

I keep hearing stuff about trust in here when buying and selling domains. I've sold close to 300 domains in the past couple months and i never even care about trust. If the person wants the name i always get the payment first before i transfer the names thats how the business goes. So how would i be cheated if i have the money already? When i sell high end domains they usually go through escrow services no need to be trusting anyone. This is the net you cant trust ANYONE when it comes to money. I dont worry about trust on the net because those two words dont belong in the same sentence trust-net. A major comapnay like Google posts your private information in the search engine are they trustworthy? With news reports of fraud on the internet constantly I think trust went out the window a long time ago.
