SUN TZU, in The Art of War, wrote, "Know thy enemy, that you might know thyself."
Those who regard the suicide bombers as their enemy, and don't try to understand them, are dombed to, in perpetuity, be at a disadvantage.
Those who believe that they cannot be understood, are truly, and pathetically, lost.
In The Godfather II, there is a powerful scene when Michael, while in Cuba, sees a suicide bomber, and understands how unstable the situation is. He chooses to not invest, and plans his escape from the inevitable revolution.
Those who look at a wall as a solution, are advised to consider the response.
Those who believe a wall will not demand a response, or prevent a response, are lost.
It is a grave pity that so many innocents will die, because the politicians, especially the politicians with the greater weapons, do not wish peace enough, to make it happen.
